Listening to this throughout the night as I heal from painful surgery has really been a blessing to my heart. Drawing nearer to God and less focus on myself has enabled me to remember that this time is just a season, not forever. And I have eternity with my Lord to look forward to.

My husband’s family traced their genealogy and they are related to John Knox. I see why Mary, Queen of Scots feared his prayers more than all the armies of England.

Generations later, there’s a family still serving and loving the Lord God that I’m sure is partly due to that righteous man’s prayers.
