Its an updated Antec P180, so you are very right saying it is like a case from 2008. But virtually every modern 'quiet' case is a p180 with few changes, thats not such a bad thing - Mike Chen at SilentPCReview designed it well.

I love my Dark Base 900 Rev 1, no glass, no psu shroud, just a nice big case with plenty of space the way a case should be. I got mine about 1 yr for $170 new.
With a case that has this much modularity built in the only other thing I would have asked for is that the side vented panels could be flipped around front to back to put the vented openings farther back on the case to line up with the CPU, GPU and motherboard VRMs.

LOVE the INVERTED build, i want to do this too, because my pc is always on my left against the wall, so i never see the inside, and i have a see trough side panel ;-)

I don't get the disdain for cd/dvd bays on virtually tech channels these days. The fact that this case has them is my reason to watch this vid.

I love the look and build of this case. I have the Be quiet 802 black colored case and I love that, but this one has a little more flare with the orange accents.

It's a good case but watch out when removing the glass panel. The very first time I unscrewed the thumb screws and removed it, it feel off and smashed on my worktop.

Luckily I contacted be Quiet and they very graciously sent me one over to the UK from Germany for free as a replacement. It is a nightmare to remove though.

BeQuiet makes some understated and killer cases, funny thing is that my main rig is in a In win 303 as well. Also have a BeQuiet Silent Base 801 that I'm about to swap over to and have set it up in Rev ATX layout. Do have say I love the modularity of their lineup causing an almost endless amount of options to build with.

I would like to see a mod that gets rid of the front door. I am much more concerned about air flow than I am noise, but I also really like the overall design of this case, especially the ability to invert the MOBO.

I have a couple of nagging questions I haven't been able to find answers to: When the motherboard orientation is reversed, as you have done, and one is using the 5.25" bays (as for a flash card/IO panel and optical drive), you'd want the door to hinge on the left but I can't tell if it is reversible. Also, nobody has addressed how those two font fans get their air when the door is closed. I assume there are sufficient louvers and mesh areas to provide air but none of the images I've found ease my concern about these being able to perform well. I have one on order so I'll find out soon enough, but others might want these answers as well. Oh, yes, I'm not clear on what that little panel does in the steel side. It might be a good place for a status screen but I don't know who'd want it on the far side.

what about torque for fasteners without a rubber washer, for example could you easily unscrew those that keep psu basement? Ive got second example and it is not possible for me, even using high quality tools...

Im currently about build inverted layout like here and my only concern is about 3 fans on graphic cards close to two 140 exhausting fans of top - two different air flow directions. Could not find anywhere if 2 140mm fans on top can transfer cold air into the case and two 140mm front fans pull out warm air, Im just not sure if it works like like that, I`ts all about inverted graphic card. Can anyone help?
