Unless your professor asks you to draw out the steroisomers, use the 2^n rule. No one has time to do all that on a 20 question exam.

Find the chiral center and use the equation 2^n (as n is number of chiral center)

Sir there are 3 isomers ...one is a meso one and the other two are enantiomers of each other...so total no of isomers is 3

Sir i am confused how 3rd one is different from 4th. Please tell. Let's see it this way. If I rotate 3rd one so that the front part goes to the back and the back part comes to the front, just bear with me, now what we get is same as 4th one. So basically if we look at the same molecule from behind we are counting that as a different isomer. please explain
