Using a big gear then a small gear would make it go substantially faster though it would sacrifice some torque

Place neodymium magnets with alternating polarity around the circumference of the fly wheel. Will great a kinetic induction furnis for steel placed in close proximity to moving wheel!

I'd replace the armatures with aluminium or steel and use off the rack cheep skate board bearings. The harmonics of this device WILL shake the flywheel apart. The damage is CUMULATIVE. Its only a matter of time.

Make it impossible for anyone to stand in line with flywheel during operation. Pretend you have a 5 year old child in your workshop at all times! Make it a ritualised habit to barricade the hot zones, and you should never have an injury.
