THAT WAS A STATEMENT PERFORMANCE! | Tottenham 3-6 Liverpool reaction

Liverpool extended their lead at the top of the Premier League as they beat Tottenham 6-3 in a pulsating encounter in London on Sunday afternoon.

Braces from Mohamed Salah and Luis Diaz and goals from Alexis Mac Allister and Dominik Szoboszlai ensured Arne Slot's side capitalised on a slip-up from Chelsea in ruthless fashion.

And Reds reporter David Lynch believes this was a performance that proved why this team will be champions come May.

Here, he hails the efforts of goalscorers Salah and Szoboszlai, as well as two defenders who shipped three goals.

Gomez and Szobo were both fantastic - I think that was Szobo's best game for Liverpool, and Joe was back to the pre-ACL player in the title winning year - Virg was also good but Joe was better, which says something.
Mo was just ridiculous again.
Trent - where has this left foot come from ? His long passes with his left peg were awesome.

At half time, I said to my son, 6-2 @ fulltime, then when it got to 5- 3, i said we will score another 2, close but no cigar, We could of put 10 goals in, Szobo was awesome, he was mY Motm, Mo was Mo, Diaz back, good to see Taa enjoying himself again The Whole Team was awesome

Joey was excellent, statistics don't give him enough credit for how he performed today. Dom was the catalyst for most of our goals, terrific performance from him again for quite a few weeks now. So unlucky for him how you can't give MOTM to anybody else than Mr. Mo "4 goal contributions" Salah. That man is just out of this world. Lucho was also phenomenal with his high intensity pressing and beautiful brace. It was just an overall masterclass up until the ~65th minute from everyone. So proud to support Liverpool.

Great analysis David. It is brilliant what Slot is achieving by just making slight changes to player’s starting positions. What he has done to improve Gravenberch, Szobo, Diaz and others is quite remarkable. Whatever is achieved this season will be surpassed in future years when all the players buy in to the Slot way. Slot would be quite at home in a modern day Boot Room and that is a fantastic compliment.

Hi David, Great vlog!, I agree with you, Liverpool performances have been above others in terms of consistency. Our forward line was frighting! We did give away 3 goals, but once Konate returns we will be more solid and can really push on. Just wanted too wish you a Happy Christmas!

Szoboszlai was amazing! The amount of running he does and how he fills in is always top notch but he show cased his heading and end product in this game!

This was easily Dominik Szoboszlai's best performance of the season for Liverpool. He was absolutely relentless in the press and so much of our forward momentum went through him. Spurs could not stop him.
