For m=-3 (Real and Inverted)
-3=-v/u
v=3u
Putting this value in mirror formula we get-
-1/20=1/3u+1/u
-1/20=4/3u
-3u=80
u=-26.6cm 1:31:23

Hw answers ~
1:31:45 u= -80/3cm v= -80cm
1:47:27 f= -1m
b) avg spd= 1/150 m/s
c) avg spd = 1/60 m/s
d) avg spd= 1/10 m/s
2:05:06 v= -1/180 m/s

1:47:37
=> 1/f= 1/u+1/v
1/f=1/-1.5-1/3=-1/1
:- Therefore {f=-1m}

1:57:31
=> b) at u=-29m
V= uf/u-f= 29/30m
AFTER ONE SEC.
u=-24m
v=24/25m
Difference in position of image
24/25-29/30
-7/50
Average speed=∆v/∆t
=-7/50÷1=[-7/50m/sec]

c) at u=-19m
V= uf/u-f= 19/20m
AFTER ONE SEC.
u=-14m
v=14/15m
Difference in position of image
14/15-19/20
=-1/60m
Average speed=∆v/∆t

=-1/60÷1=[-1/60m/sec]

d) at u=-9m
V= uf/u-f= 9/10m
AFTER ONE SEC.
u=-4m
v=4/5m
Difference in position of image
4/5-9/10
-1/10
Average speed=∆v/∆t
=-1/10÷1=[-1/10msec]

2:03:43
=> f=1
u=-29
v= 29/30
m=-v/u =-29/30(-29)=1/30
Vi=-m²(Vo)
=-(1/30)²×5=> -1/180 m/s

1:31:30 For the second part u = -26.6cm
1:47:30 focal length = -1m
1:57:45 (b) = -1/150 m/s
(c) = -1/60 m/s
(d) = -1/10 m/s
2:5:10 instantaneous velocity of image = -1/180 m/s

1:31:43 problem 2) For real and inverted image (m=-3) then object distance (u)= -80/3=-26.6cm
1:57:25 ∆v/∆t= (b)1/150, (c) 1/60, (d) 1/10

2:05:11 Instantaneous velocity of image when jogger at 29m is -1/180 m/s
