10 Jahre Syrische Revolution, 10 Bilder_Petra | Ein Schlag ins Gesicht

Petra Becker hat über 25 Jahre in Syrie gelebt und war Übersetzerin an der deutschen Botschaft in Damaskus (2003-2012). Nach ihrer Rückkehr nach Deutschland Back on Track e.V. gegründet, einen Version, Flüchtlingskindern gute Bildung ermöglicht. Welches Bild steht für Dich die letzten zehn Jahre der syrischen Revolution?
Diese Frage haben wir zehn syrischen Aktivist*innen gestellt. Aus den Bildern und den Antworten hat die syrische Regisseurin Guevara Namer ein eindrucksvolles Video-Projekt gemacht, das die persönlichen Erfahrungen von Aktivist*innen der syrischen Revolution dokumentiert und nachzeichnet: Den Aufbruch aus der Angst, den Verlust von geliebten Angehörigen, die Erfahrung der Vertreibung - aber auch die Hoffnung, im Exil weiter für ein anderes, ein demokratisches Syrien streiten zu können. Die zehn kurzen Videos zeichnen persönliche Portraits von Menschen, deren Leben heute mit dem von vor zehn Jahren nichts mehr gemein hat.

Petra Becker who has lived in Syria for more than 25 years worked as interpreter at the German Embassy in Damascus between 2003 and 2012.After returning to Germany, she founded Back on Track e.V., an NGO that enables refugee children to have access to good education. What image do you see of the last ten years of the Syrian revolution?
We asked ten Syrian activists this question. The Syrian director Guevara Namer has made an impressive video project out of the images and the answers, which documents and traces the personal experiences of activists in the Syrian revolution: the departure from fear, the loss of loved ones, the experience of displacement - but also the hope of being able to continue fighting for another, a democratic Syria in exile. The ten short videos draw personal portraits of people whose life today has nothing in common with that of ten years ago.
