The people of Dun Laoghaire give their impression of Jesus Christ and what they consider special about him.

‘Who Do You Say That I Am?’ is the question that Jesus Christ put to Saint Peter, who according to the Gospel described Jesus as the Christ, the son of the living God.

According to one woman, his most important deed is the forgiveness of the people who crucified him.

He died on the cross for us.

It is reported that in the last one hundred years, sixty thousand books have been written to address this question.

‘Where Do We Stand? Who Do You Say That I Am’ was broadcast on 15 April 1979. The presenter is Morgan O’Sullivan.

‘Where Do We Stand?’ is a five part series examining the challenges of handing on the Christian faith in Ireland. The series is produced by Fr Billy FitzGerald, Head of Religious Programmes at RTÉ. Each episode considers a different aspect of traditional Christian faith; the existence of God, the basis of morality, forgiveness and redemption, prayer and Jesus the risen Christ. During each episode, people on the street give their opinions on traditional Christian principles. ‘Are You Saved?’ is the third programme in the series.

He was a Jewish rabbi who disagreed with their rituals, and materialism.. He put more emphasis on spiritual evolution and inner transformation,
He said God was pure spirit and should be worshipped in spirit and truth.
They excommunicated him and executed him, but his teachings live on..

"For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son." I don't think it's a mystery or should be made into a mystery as to who Jesus Christ actually was. It's written very clearly and understandably in the bible especially in the new testament and in the new testament, especially in the gospels. We who believe are not confused as to who Jesus was.

Jesus Christ is my Lord and Saviour. Jesus Christ is the only-begotten Son of God. He suffered death on the cross to save us from our sins, and he rose from the dead on the third day. He will come again, in accordance with the Scriptures, and his Kingdom will have no end.

Jesus is the Christ the son of the living God
And the word became flesh and dwelt amongst us and we be held his glory as the only begotten son of the father full of grace and truth

The Son of the God of Abraham. Born of flesh, to be with us always if we let him, and as much as we let him or can handle. Taught, healed, loved with Agape love, cast out demons, fed thousands on one basket, and more. Who died on a hideous Wooden Cross he then made an irrevocably Holy stigmata with his Blood and anguish. Went to hell itself and took death down so so many notches, and then came back to life with an incorruptible body still bearing the scars of turning the Cross Holy. And then rose into Heaven in that body, to return when it has all become too impossible. Swim over that way a little this decade Sinead. I have an agape sort of love for you and don't want to land on you. You've been depth charged enough in your life already my good Lady!

God is eternal. God is ever existing. God is ever present ...these are the teachings we have been presented with. So how then can Jesus, who they say is God, die. God is eternal so therefore, logically, cannot die, not for a split second much less three days. If indeed God died it would mean the instantaneous death of not only all of us but the entire creation.

Should be "Who Was Jesus Christ?"

To think that God, who is unlimited, and ever expanding, never ending, has only one son is not common sense as we ourselves can have ten and more. With unlimited planet's, many of which must be inhabited, it would mean Jesus has to go to each and all of them and there be crucified again and again ad infinitum...no father would allow such a thing to happen to his son much less his only son...he would die himself before allowing such a thing to happen

The best question to ask any true "Christian" is: Do you consider foreign chattel slavery morally acceptable because the Bible gives a guideline for how to practice foreign chattel slavery properly in order to stay in line with God's will without ever condemning the actions?
