This stuff works! I was sceptical as my car aint that old.
2018 bmw 5 series 3L diesel 40k on the clock.

my experience:
I always use decent fuel, and also add fuel additives/ system cleaners regularly.
Oil change was done (castrol Edge 5w-30). Added the product 1000 miles after.

Im in the UK. Here, there are 3 ceramic oil additives available:
£12 Mannol Ceramo (German), £15 STP Ceramic (U.S.), £19 Liqui Moly Ceratec (German).

Bough a bottle of the STP as it was price in the middle.1 bottle is designed to be added to 5L of Oil. My car is 7L.
Didnt bother buying an additional bottle; i was sceptical, so it was diluted by 40% less than the recommended.
Added in March (close to freezing at night).

How wrong I was. The improvements are pretty much noticeable after 1-2 drives.
quieter idling, revs more freely, better mpg, better cold starts.

I'll try the cheap Mannol Ceramo next, which uses the exact same active ingredients as the more expensive Liqui moly Ceratec.
Both make the exact same claim about longevity (over 30, 000 miles of protection). Both are German, both fluids look the same too (opaque milky colour). wouldn't be surprised if both probably come out of the same factory.

Mannol brand is a well known and reputable budget brand, whereas Liqui Moly is premium brand and spend a lot on advertising in motorsport.

STP makes good products, I've been using their stuff since the 70's. Ceramic turns out to be great on the inside and outside of a vehicle.

Is it very thick like traditional STP oil treatment? I'm just weary of raising the viscosity of my oil too much above manufacturer's recommendations.
