❓ About This Episode: The Carmtek Leveling Ramps: Manually leveling an RV can be done using blocks or ramps. For the longest time we used blocks because of the many negative reviews we’ve read on the ramps breaking. We partnered with a newer company named Carmtek and they sent us their leveling ramp system. After some testing and research, we couldn’t be happier or more impressed with this product and wanted to share it with you. Thanks for watching, please like and subscribe!

My boyfriend uses these. He loves them. I think he just ordered the door lock too. Please stop giving him things to put in his cart! 🤣

Had the carmteck levelers for 2 years. No stress cracks or problems at all. The pads get worn out from the rocks but that’s expected. You can just get some rubber from an industrial supply store after they wear out. Great review Ross, you’ll have these forever.

My Anderson levelers worked good for about 1 year, then broke. Been using wood blocks since but going to order these.

I had the same concern about the other levelers. Those, however, look really sturdy and the locking indents are a great addition.

These look great, mine don't have the little grooves for the two parts to lock into each other. However, my brand came with anti-slip mats as well, which tore up very early on. They are pretty useless, although needed in many places.
Thank you for this review.

These types of levelers work great if you have enough space between your wheels. My travel trailer has torsion axles and isn't so lucky with about 3" of clearance between the tires. Now, I still use the Andersen levelers, but I had to cut them down to where they start at 1" thick. Which is generally where they break anyways, so win. lol If I have to level less than 1" I just don't worry about it.

There are more buying options for ramp levelers now. It used to be the expensive Anderson brand were the only ones available. Years ago I built one from some 2x12 wood from drawings I found online. I only need one for my single axle trailer. They cost me next to nothing and are more robust than the red ones and they work great.

I have the Camco curved levelers, they have held up great… except that time I threw them in the back of the truck and drove to FL… one was missing but I’m still sure it was heavy enough to not blow out 😂

Thanks - I enjoy your videos and have learned so much. We just purchased a double axle trailer after having a tear drop. My husband I are having a ‘discussion’ on whether or not both tires on the side need a leveler under them. Can you put just one leveler under one of the tires? He thinks so. My concern is safety and whether it is bad for the camper. Thank you

Could you do a video on a weight and sway hitch? Would absolutely love that, and would be so helpful!

I recently tried to level using levelers on soft sand (one side, other was firm). The levelers I used simply dug into the sand. The rubber backing also came off. Tried blocks & they also dug into the sand. In this situation would a small sheet of plywood be helpful? Does it make a difference going forward or reverse when leveling??

Probably a stupid question, total newbies here. We just bought these levelers. Let's say the campsite is level. Can we use these behind say the left and right rear wheels to use them as actual chocks while putting in regular chocks on the front wheels?

Would you still recommend these? My husband works hard dragging out several different boards and I just want to make life a little easier for him.

Where is that gorge at the end of the video?

We used the Anderson levelers on our travel trailer for years with no problems… unfortunately no go on our new motorhome! Even with “anti-slip mats” I guess it’s just too heavy and pushes them instead of rolling onto them!😒🤷🏻‍♂️

Haven’t pulled the trigger on ramps yet. Might just be the time.

The end of your video looks like you are filming in Watkins Glen State Park.

Am I correct that these are only good for travel trailers and not motorized RVs?

Do you need these with an automatic leveling system?
