(205) ACRYLIC POURING - Cells Galore and Marble Run in Black and White - Recipe Included

My husband says I should post the good, bad and the ugly, and in my opinion, this is both bad and ugly! But the recipe is good, and perhaps you can learn something from it anyway. I think I will be retiring the marble for now. It was fun to do on a few pieces, and the previous two sold right away, so playing with it was worthwhile, I guess!

****Half my art is now on sale at:

Colors used: Artist's Loft Flow Acrylic in black and white. These were mixed 1 to 1 with the following pouring medium ( plus water to thin, leaving a mound):

Chris, I think it’s stunning! It’s like a ball room full of ladies dressed in exquisite gowns and men in dapper tuxedos. ❤️

This is a beautiful piece. I have found that there’s always someone who LOVES the pieces I’m not keen on. This monochromatic is really cool. 💜💚💙

I don't know why you're not keen on this. I love it! 😍 The cells just didn't stop developing to the point it almost turned into lacing! I love monochromatic pours. So simple but dramatic. Gorgeous! ❤ 😘

Chris, I think this is so cool! You can't find a black and white pour without grey and I think it adds depth. Very nice control of the marble!

I love the leafy pattern the marble path leaves. Beautiful! 🌺

It turned out much better than I expected and I loved that you had control over where the marble went when compared to many artist who just let the marble(s) go all over the canvas with no design in mind. Your artistic sense laid it out very well and I imagined one more color in there, perhaps red, would really make it outstanding and the gray wouldn't even be noticed. I think it is very pretty but to be honest, I'm glad you are saying goodbye to the marble, which I wish other artists would do. Liquid artists on You Tube seem to go with the trends, like the marbles, the flop cups, and the pearl cells when using the satin enamel paints and I grow weary of the trends. I like all the techniques and I watch all the YT artists to get ideas for palettes and techniques so I can learn and grow in my own art, but to date have not been able to achieve my own "look" or design. I think the Dutch pour eludes me but am determined to pull that off and I loved your wine series. I'm currently trying to learn the Shelee techniques but still love the others as well. There are still many I haven't tried, but like I said, I'm still trying to tune my own design. You are a real artist and so you bring a completely different aspect to pouring paint. Just like in this, you had a real dream about it and "designed" it before you ever poured it and it showed, Really it is very pretty and I imagine you will sell this one quickly. Sorry for such long post but just had to share my feelings about the trends. Thankfully, you offer a very professional touch to this form of painting.

Chris, I think the pour looks like frost flowers on a winter morning window. Not what you wanted, but I think it's beautiful.

I thought the cells you got were very unique. I hope you try the marble again, just try a larger one.
I also like it.

Do you think it would end up like you wanted if you changed the order of the paint, like start with white and end with black?

I think you are being to hard on yourself...it's a very dramatic monochromatic painting. I really don't care for grey either but from what I can see you didn't get much. You helped me again! I need to slow my roll😏(pun intended) and plan out the direction of my painting like you do. To often I not only hold my breath but, I go really fast...as if the burst of speed is going to get me what I want. I have no idea why I do that weird thing, but Thank you for reminding me I need to take my time and plan...my attack😁😊🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤

You are been too hard on yourself. It is really pretty and you are good at playing with the marble.
