The MCU is NOT the 616 it's the 199, 999 universe. The MCU is based on The Ultimates Marvel Universe. Closest one to the 616 is the Toby "Gonna' put some dirt in your eye" Spider-Man. Marvel started strong with their formula of introducing the individual characters and build-up to one of their major events. And the shows need to do 10, 45 minute episodes and Marvel needs to go back to worrying about quality.

They messed it up by adding too much after endgame. They should have just made movies for the main characters that were left, ex. Spiderman, thor, black panther, dr.strange, guardians. Instead of all those extra movies(marvels) and series(secret invasion), it would have been nice to see them srart to introduce the xmen or fantastic 4.

A reason ironman, cap America, hulk movies were successful is because those are characters everyone recognized without having to read the comics.
