Well, I am not surprised by the presence of fleurs-de-lis on the dress, if you look into the history of British royal coats of arms, you can find that fleurs-de-lis were on it cca from the 14th century until the 18th c. If you have seen the Tudors series you can actually notice that Henry VIII (16th c.) is donning an outfit [edit: with fleurs-de-lis] when in war with France. This is because England did actually own parts of today´s France, through marriage or war.
I am actually more confused by the two headed lion, I don´t have an idea where it came from, Richard I. (12th c.) had two lions in his coat of arms, so maybe the two headed lion is an interpretation of his emblem?
