Important note for taking pictures. The sensor is 4:3, so if you often edit and crop your photos it’s much better to use the whole sensor. 16:9 just crop automatically. You can test this out by switching between the two while pointing at something. Both aspects ratio will have the same width, but you will notice a big difference in what you can see in height.

By using 16:9 in photo mode, it zooms in and uses slightly less pixels then 12mp. Which is why I don't use 16:9. I'd rather use 4:3 and get the full 12mp out of the camera. Samsung phones do this as well. They default on 16:9 and in settings it shows you the MP it's using while in 16:9 and it's never the full MP of the camera. Sorry but 4:3 is best to get the max MP out of the camera.

Take a photo in 4:3 and then in 16:9 and then tap the info button while in the Photos App. You'll see the 16:9 image is only using 9MP while the 4:3 is using 12MP.

Awesome awesome video!!! This is very helpful for my new iPhone 13 Pro!!! The only thing is, optimize battery charging will never work for me. I know that it requires significant locations to be enabled
And that is a setting that I like to keep off. Also, my sleeping patterns are very erratic so it will never learn anyway. LOL! Again awesome video thank you so much!!!😆👍
