I have a different brand but like it. It also removes the wear and tear from plugging directly into your phone each time.

Additional pros/cons

Pros: this extends the life of your device's charging port as you're not constantly connecting/disconnecting it.

If you drop your phone or anything that might hit the cable it will simply disconnect instead of bending or causing damage to the port.

No foreign debris will make its way into the charge port as it is always covered.

Cons: magnets attract dirt, so it is very likely that if you were to drop your phone or put it anywhere near dirt, it'll magnetize it and if you've ever removed dirt from a magnet you'll know it's a pain.

I've tried multiple brands of these and I prefer Wsken X2 the most and it supports quick charge and fast data transfer.

Great concept! Someone else said, and I agree with them, i need fast charging! Apart from that its so cool. Also that edit at 2:26 is smooth af

I have the same cables. Great idea, but the end with the magnet fails. I did an autopsy, the magnet has little spot welds inside to attach the wire. These break with use.

The link didn’t work. There are several on Amazon. What brand are the ones you bought?

I got some similar ones from Statik, but I wouldn’t recommend them at all.
They worked at first, but a year on… not so much.
The charging just keeps dropping out, dropping in, dropping out, dropping in…
If it’s a device that’s constantly going in and out if your pocket, the conductive metal plating eventually rubs off the magnet.
And the magnet VERY easily lets moisture into your charging socket, so then you can’t charge the phone for several hours.
Avoid.

Normally when I play games on my phone while charging I will accidentally bend the charger due to the shape of my phone, so the magnetic charger would work better since if I bend it to much it would just disconnect, but I could just leave it there to charge using a normal cable

if they eventually have fast charging capabilities I think it'd be worth a purchase for me, the convenience is nice but I don't want to sacrifice another convenience for it.

Good new: There are fast charging cable now. They’re PD technology so they can support up to 100w!

Nice review! :) I've bought a Kuulaa (it's just another brand I guess?) magnetic cable two months ago and I'm still happy with it (you can easily find it within your tangled mess of cables^^)

Issue with magnetic cables is at some point the contacts wear off. Happened to me with all last 5 cables. It usually last me 1y.
However.. still gonna buy the 6th one. I have a charging cable to fast switch between wireless keyboard/wireless mouse and smartphone.
Also, the round one is not that good cause it rarely fits a phone-case, or a wireless mouse with an inset charging port. Look for ones that are oval shaped. They fit so much better with most peripherals. Also looks better on the phone.

I was using these for awhile, they are convenient but at some point the inside of one got metal shavings in it which bridged the connection and caused an issue with my phones battery and it it smelled burnt. I ended up not using them anymore. a USB C is rated about 10 years if you unplug and replug it in 3-5 times a day.

I saw similar magnetic cables on amazon, but I wasn't sure how well they would work, after watching your video I have a better idea now. Thanks for the video!

These are great for micro usb cords specifically. Those have to be the worst ever cord nubs. They broke on me constantly because the little prongs break or wear down with repeated plugging and unplugging making the cord loose and slow charging. Magnetic ones completely fix the problem.
