He conveniently doesn't mention Python 2.7, which backports new features of Python 3 to Python 2 syntax. He only mentions that there is pains of Python 2.6 vs Python 3. Arguably though Python 2.7 is why the adoption of Python 3 has been slow. Because it remains just a choice. And the choice of whether one should be using Python 3 instead of Python 2.7 is not all that clear.
