I wonder how beautiful it must be to be in total darkness and suddenly see one bright spot.

Now that's pretty spooky. I knew the space between galaxies was vast, but sometimes it's easy forget just how much "nothing" there really is out there.

So... in deep space, which is far away from our local cluster of galaxies,   if you get far enough away, you would see complete blackness ?  I've never thought of this until I saw this video. I used to think that wherever you were in the universe, that you'd be able to see galaxies, and they would look like stars.

As a reminder to some, the significance of this video is that if you were to be out in space alone with your own eyes and no way to detect objects through any other mechanical sensor, then space would look like this, outside of the galactic local group. You would of course see stars and other objects within proximity to such galactic groups. And if you had technology on you able to detect electromagnetic waves beyond visible light, you would never see complete darkness. In other words, the whole concept of this video is what you would see with the naked eye.

You sir never fail to amaze me with your universe and space videos. Please never stop making them. Everything about how you make your videos is so original and perfect ESPECIALLY your role as a narrator

This is the kind of stuff that made me subscribe to you. You put things that I may have a passable amount of knowledge on and make it wondrous. Keep up the great work, man!

And this is why we feel so alone as a species. Aside from our own Galaxy' intelligent life exists in others but we will never make contact with them...the distance is just too vast.

Give me chills the thought of nothing for light years and the temperature being in the negatives 200s is actually hell itself almost

what a neat concept. it's rare for me to find a video that opens new perspectives on space for me. keep it up!

Exactly what I was thinking. Those beautifully coloured images of nebulous clusters are just that, artificially coloured and artificially brightened images. I love this video.

Please make more videos like this, I really like them, and they could be the type that really helps you channel grow, if you want it to. It's stuff like this, and the death clock, and the mining earth stuff that we like
