I've had a few friends that have a Korean mom and a Black father and have felt the same way. No matter what, people in the US would view them as Black and treat them as a Black person. I'm glad US society is more accepting of people representing all of their cultures, but there's still a long way to go. Hopefully it will be easier for the next generation than it was for previous generations.

Until our world is completely accepting of all people, children will need to identify with a certain group based on appearance.
