Solving One-Step Equations Using Multiplication and Division

Показать описание
Solving one-step equations involving multiplication and division is a fundamental concept in algebra. These equations can be solved using simple arithmetic operations to isolate the variable and find its value. The goal is to get the variable (usually represented by the letter "x") on one side of the equation and a constant on the other side.

Remember these key principles:
When you perform an operation on one side of the equation, you must do the same operation on the other side to maintain balance and equality.
The goal is to get the variable by itself on one side of the equation.
In multiplication scenarios, divide by the coefficient of the variable to isolate it.
In division scenarios, multiply by the denominator of the fraction to isolate the variable.

Remember to always double-check your solutions by plugging them back into the original equation to ensure they satisfy the equation. Solving one-step equations is a foundational skill in algebra that sets the stage for more complex problem-solving in the subject.

Thank you! That helped me. And shine a little light there in a gray area. I never thought of equations as a simple division problem. I never passed algebra 1. I love the quick and straight to the point little math lesson. There’s another person who does that and I was watching his shorts a little while ago and actually trying to pay attention solve the equation.
