To find three equivalent ratios for 3/7, we can multiple double the numerator and denominator to get 6/14. This is an equivalent ratio to 3/7. If you divide 3/7 or 6/14 you will get the same decimal value.

Note that the term equivalent ratio is sometimes called an equivalent fraction.

We could also multiply the numerator and denominator of 3/7 by 3. This would give us 9/21 which is also an equivalent ratio for the fraction 3/7. Both have the same decimal value, it is just that they are represented differently (3/7 is simplified and in lowest terms).
