From the start of the film re-adaptation of "Doctor Strange" (2006, Timeline-ATTF).

What if David S. Goyer's take on "Doctor Strange" wouldn't be cancelled and it would be released on June 6, 2006 (same day as The Omen (also known as The Omen: 666))?

One of the great what-ifs of the development process was a version that was to have been written and directed by David S. Goyer. His script, said to be a fairly faithful adaptation that included such characters as Baron Mordo and Morgana Blessing, was originally turned in to Columbia Pictures in 1995, but higher-ups wanted Goyer to remove the mystical elements, which led to him getting fired. Goyer then took his script to Miramax Films when they acquired the rights to the character. As a director, he intended to rely heavily on practical effects and not exclusively on computer-generated imagery. Ultimately though, nothing would ever come of Goyer's take on the sorcerer supreme.
