Fun fact: The term "garden" has 2 definitions. The one we all know of contributes to plantation, but the other means "a long public hall" which is where Act 1 takes place, a long newspaper factory hall. Act 2 is the garden of cherry blossom trees and plants.

This zone is so beautifully executed. From the ornate asthetics and its music blending a old school SEGA Genesis vibe with a classic 90's synth, to the very concept of the level just being *inspired.* The temple-like printing press that makes you feel like you've shrunk down in size that leads into a gorgeous snow frosted zen garden. I love it so much.

Press Garden is basically an abandoned printing factory overgrown with relish.

I had played Sonic Mania before and thought it was pretty fun, but I'd always get stuck at flying battery zone and give up. I recently got this game on steam and finally got past flying battery zone and was greeted with THIS. Every stage from that point on was phenomenal.

The level design, atmosphere, aesthetic all are perfect as well!!!

The name "Tabloid Jargon" is so cool to me..

This zone reminds me so much of a carnival. The Chinese lanterns and dragons and swirling platforms, makes the song sound much like a carnival ride with clowns etc.

0:21 = why I like this more than act 2. this section is just amazing. the similar section in act 2 just doesn't hit like this one.

I just replayed sonic mania not long ago and I only then realized that the ‘press’ in press gardens was meaning the press as in the news, instead of just press as in crush because there’s a lot of crushers.
