It’s not Brian’s, it doesn’t belong to Brian. It’s a replacement car the the original car Brian lost to Dom that was destroyed by the Trans. Also Brian never owned the original Mitsubishi. At the end of the movie Brian gives Dom the keys to Dom’s car.
