cassie wears pink the whole movie up until this montage, where we see her start to wear blue, ryan’s color. and she wears blue after this up until she confronts him. one outfit in this montage was a blue top and pink pants, and then I even think one outfit after that was purple. brilliant filmmaking!!

The writing of this movie was genius. It’s this scene in particular, and the scene where they first kissed, that made me really really like Ryan. I was so happy that Cassie was happy and trying to move on. I liked Ryan so much that by the end of the film, I was so disappointed in him and I really wanted it to not be true, like “please say sike rn” and that made me reflect on how easy it actually is to not want to believe someone you like is capable of doing such horrible things when no one is looking, like rape or even being a bystander. honestly i thought this whole sequence was cute but also i think i just don’t trust men lol because the second he said he was friends with al, and that he still hangs out with him occasionally, i knew he was guilty somehow LMFAOOO. i was like “is she just gonna ignore what he just said?” also he tried to bring her back to his apartment on the first date which is fine but she clearly wasn’t into it. they really showed all of his red flags but somehow us as the audience like convinced ourselves that he was a good guy just like cassie did. this movie is genius

What's so good about this movie is that as these two progressed in love, we as the audience progressed with them. At this point in the movie this was peak love and connection and as Cassandra let her guard down, the audience did too. A sign of great performances from Bo and Carey and strong writing and direction! Fantastic film!

This song is just so perfect for this scene... Like it's a very girly song, sang by Paris Hilton, so you wouldn't expect a man to know all the words to it and actually make the woman sing and dance. But also, the lyrics perfectly describe what Cassie wants from her relationship with Ryan, compared to all the other men in the movie : "'Cause I don't find
/ Too many guys / That treat me like you do / Those other guys / They wanna take me for a ride"
Not too many songs would have fitted so well

I fell in love with Bo Burnham in this movie ! Where has he been my whole life. So glad I was introduced to him through this movie. Great talent. Someone who can take you to loving him to despising him has a true artistic ability.
