I review the ultra compact EV that fits in a backpack!

The Begode Mten4 is in a category of its own! and there are no other ridable electric vehicle as small and have as much speed and power it does. Even though it is on the bottom end of the electric unicycle power scale, it still have a special place in my heart cuz of how small it is. This week, I am going to review it and tell you what I think after riding it for a year.

I’m 52 and got this wheel about a month ago. Took it to a trip to Chicago and it zipped me all around the city and suburbs. I don’t push the speed too much because I frankly just need to keep getting more confident and stronger in my skills. I live in the mountains of NC and this thing takes me everywhere I want to go with ease. Steep hills, trails, almost anywhere. My biggest challenge is mount and dismount. I’m not horrible at it, but I’m not super graceful either. Anyway, for me, it’s a great wheel. Super portable and more capable than I am.

I love my mten4 i have it hooked up with a pmt street tire, spiked pedals, russian cushion pads
and a God mod for safety. I ride my mten 4 everyday around the bronx. I even took it on a 30 mile trip and it worked like a dream 1000 miles later and Iris is running like a dream. Top speed before a pedal dip for new at 190 pounds is 28mph going up hill so power is there just add a Godmod to it and it's great paired with the 50e cells

Love the mten4. You describe many great reasons everyone should have a mini wheel!

The 40T cell is rated 35a discharge vs 9.8a on the 50E.

The 300wh 20S1P 40T would have a higher discharge rating than the 750wh 20S2P 50E.

20 less cells is a 3lbs weight savings.

I am 220lbs and get 12-15km range on the mten4s (300wh 40T).

Love this wheel. The first wheel I owned was the Mten3. I quickly graduated to the 16X but I have always had a fondness for the form factor and have the MTen Mini on pre order. I bought the MTen4 when it was released and ride it every day! I also own the ShermanS, Apollo Phantom, and Roadrunner Pro but the one I ride the most is the Mten!

owned V1 for about a year. Loved it. It can run even with very low tire pressure. Slime sealer is recommended.

I love the diversity of EUCs available, really hope this doesn't change :)

I love the Mten4 600wh. I use it for carrying boxes and just getting around my apartment complex. It’s so versatile.

I’ve got 170 on mine. Hard to imagine a better way to begin with the EUC journey. I have the 300 watt and definitely want more range. If inmotion would offer something like this, just an instant yes.

Dang! I wouldn't mind having that. I ride motorsickles and when I get oof to walk around. I wouldn't mind riding that little thing around town while my motorsickle is parked. It could also be a backup if I ran out of gas. Meow thats really neat to have. I looked at the price and I think I can save up for it.

I love my Mten4. I grab it more often than my bigger wheels because it’s soo convenient for the city. Be warned though, respect the beeps. This little guy will dump you. Still wear your gear.

That bike slowly creeping up on you at 11:56 made me laugh for some reason, it was so unnecessarily ominous XD

It looks wobbly at speed and like it would feel crazy fast even when you aren’t going fast

My Mten4 is a latest version with a hybrid tyre of 100/65-6.5 which I like it very much; so nimble and fun.

I will never understand why people think mten3 and mten4 are too small and too difficult to ride compared with a much larger wheel. Boggles my mind. I learned to ride EUCs with the mten3. Everything from mounting, balancing, turning, carving, pendulum idling, etc. When you have a small wheel it's very easy to learn all of that because it is a much much lighter and agile wheel. Once I got the hang of it, the transition to V12HT or Sherman was a shock to me. These are gigantic and bulky between the legs. All the agility I enjoyed like turning on a dime was significantly stunted. Sure the huge wheel helps negate defects on the road and make things much more stable but if you ride the mten4 responsibly and at the prescribed speed it was meant to be ridden, you should never have any issues. I reach for the mten4 over 90% of the time over my other wheels and that's a testament to how practical it is.
