No outbreak response is effective without the engagement and participation of affected communities. This is especially true with regards to the Ebola response. Module 4.4 describes basic principles of social mobilization and community engagement, the purpose and aim of this area of work, the key actors and how community engagement contributes to stopping the spread of Ebola. It describes the linkages between social mobilization and community engagement and the other three pillars of Ebola response.
