to those suffering: I had this done, my sciatica pain had me in tears, leg numbness, impossible to live....this procedure saved my life; if you have exhausted all other treatments and this is your cause of pain (herniated disc) this will do the trick

I’m 33yrs old, all this started this February 2024. I think I did it when I lifted a utility trailer off the hitch ball with an arched back, terrible form on my part. I had a sharp pain on my left buttocks, then it started shooting down my left leg then my leg started going numb while walking. I was only able to sleep on my left side on fetal position. MRI showed severe disk herniation on L4-L5. Wednesday July 31 2024 marks a week post surgery and I wish I did this sooner, I can walk straight, lay on my bed and sleep all night. I know this video is not recent but I want anyone that happens to read my comment in the near future to know that this procedure will only be far more effective, so please!have the surgery and get your life back, hope this helps

For anyone watching who has had this surgery recommended, but is nervous about doing it. Don't worry, just go for it. The results are immediate and you will get your life back. Obviously make sure you go to a good hospital and speak to an experienced surgeon, but as the video demonstrates, it's not actually a complex operation. It can be frightening because of the location, but it's a fairly quick operation and you can usually go home the same day or the following day. In my case my recovery involved absolute rest for 2 weeks, followed by daily 1 hour physio sessions for 2 weeks, then exercises at home for a month. After that, I was basically back to normal.

This is just an amazing video to explain how magnificently the backbone is formed and how it works. The Lumbar discectomy is so well explained. Thank you for sharing.

This is the best explanation of the spine I have ever seen. Even my Dr didn't explain it like this. Looks simple but still not having back surgery as long as exercise and pain meds take care of the problem.

I have a bulging disc and the exercising routine is crucial: I am doing yoga, planks, dead bugs, otherwise doing Deadlifts and Squats with light weights, so my core is strong. On the second place death hangs, swimming and back hyperextensions(on a gym machine) are also great! I feel actually no pain and can live like a normal person. Eating enough protein, Collagen and other micro elements is very important too

Hello. I am sharing my experience here.
I have herniated disc at L5-S1 and L4-L5. I had pain since 2 months almost. At the beginning I had pain and stiffness in back when i woke up in the morning. After a month i went to the doc and was diagnosed with disc herniation. I got an epidural steroid shot, but it did not work. After few days the pain started to radiate to left leg, till last monday it became so severe that i couldn't even sit or walk upright. Main pain points were back of thigh and calves. So I went again and got micro-discectomy last thursday. The moment i woke up after surgery the pain was gone. I felt relieved. I have been advised be rest for 6 weeks or so.
So far so good. I'll update future events
Feel free to ask any questions if you have.

I am only 21 and I am having severe sciatic pain down my left leg. I can't even walk my dog or exercise without being in intense pain. It makes me cry sometimes. I am hoping to find a really great neurosurgeon to help me with this procedure and may God bless me with a positive outcome and recovery to enjoy my life again

Been dealing with a bulging disc for over 4 years. I've done Chiropractic care, Steroid Injections, acupuncture, electric shock therapy and none of it works anymore. I can't wait to have this surgery.

Been to the er twice within the last 2 weeks due to sciatic pain. Was told by the er doctor at 5:30am that I need and mri scheduled and possibly have this procedure done…. Makes me nervous however at 25 I know that i would recover pretty quickly and have minimal downtime and no more pain… send me some healing vibes. As I have had a miserable and terrible sleep schedule and life.😵‍💫🙁

Dr.Mina in Wasilla Alaska gave me back my life with this procedure. Could not ask for a better surgeon & staff.(Lisa) I highly recommend this procedure if you're in pain, 4 to 6 weeks recovery or more. L5 & unfortunately I have a extra disk L6. No twisting or bending after surgery. Lots of walking. I was hooked up to a machine to make sure that my nerves in my spinal column we're all safe. Before the surgery I had an office visit & was in so much pain my blood pressure was extremely high and I was sweating excessively. It took a lot of convincing that I was not having a heart attack but just in a lot of pain. After the surgery I was 100% better and can not thank Doctor Mina enough. Outstanding surgeon and person. Kevin Konecky 👍

I'm having Lumbar discectomy Lumbar decompression surgery just 2 weeks from now (23rd Oct 2022) after almost 3 decades of pain, discomfort and suffering. I took to the gym again 4 yes ago to get in shape just incase I was brought for surgery and now that I'm in fairly good shape, I'm a good candidate.

I'll post my recovery on here for other's. I'm 46 years old with a tough mental attitude towards pain which developed over the years. My BMI is perfect and I have no other ailments or co morbidity.

Thanks for this video.
