I love Sharpwin but woah, I didn't expect to like Helen and Shin so much! He's *exactly* what Helen needs right now. Someone who (seemly) has his life together, who sees through her strong personality and offers her *support* and then, when she wants it, also comfort.

Helen said it very clearly, everything she's done, she's done it for Max. Has Max given her equally? No. Because he was married, then lost his wife and is still trying to pull himself together.

Helen is also broken in her own way. Right now, she needs someone less broken than Max to pull through. She needs Shin. For now.

Max didn't tell her because he still feels guilty for being in love with her while his wife was alive and after she died if he choose helen it would be the ultimate betrayal. He was just using that woman to get over his wife and Helen and to stop feeling so guilty

I don't feel bad for Max, she waited for him for 2 seasons now its his turn. He needs to fully realise just how easily she could find someone else, and have that sink in so he can fight for her. this way we get more angst when they eventually get together.

I'm a sharpwin shipper and i'm happy with shin & sharpe relationship.
makes the season even more rich from a personal viewpoint.

I don't want helen and max to be miserable around that question of "will they/won't they". I don't want them to be miserable. period. as individual, they both need different things and I love the writers for not making them an item right away. max and helen have a real connection, a genuine friendship based on honesty and understanding, something really pure and I don't want to see it destroyed.


What the writers produced and what Freema and Ryan do with the characters is so good, so different from other shows, so real that I'm excited to see it each episode. I think it's the first time I see a ship or relationship so well written. where both characters are seen not through the prism of "the ship" foremost to see or understand the individual but as individuals first and foremost with seperate needs and seperate insecurities and seperate worries.

i want helen and max to live their personal life separately for now because I don't think they are right for each other right now. shin is perfect for helen at the moment. they are a good match. they are good to each other. they make a great couple. we just have to wait and see how all this play out.

I think if max really wants to be with sharpe or any real relationship he has to get his life together do theropy and try and move on from georgia because he isn't ready yet and that's fine but I don't want him to rush into anything with Sharpe just to have it crumble because he can't let go of georgia let him heal and then sharpe and max can be endgame but until then let him try to fix his life focus on raising luna and gettting himself back together.
