Tenkara Fly Fishing For Kids

Drew takes Van out for a couple hours of fishing in the Fall time. Tenkara is a great way for kids to learn to catch fish. It's always a great way to get outdoors and see the changing seasons. Next time we'll be sure to bring waders for the chilly October water!

Hi Drew.
I really like your mindset and how you're introducing your son to fishing and the outdoors, I have 2 boys and did that with them, and then with their school friends, I did not started with the idea of getting and introducing a bunch of kids to fishing and the outdoors but it turn out that way and my wife love it, the boys and I were out of the house, Lol., but it would get her some hrs of peace and quiet, Lol. The other mom's jump on the wagon, 😁😂
As well, 😂😂😂, but it got us some good pies and snacks, most of the mom's were glad for some hrs of peace and quiet, 😁😁😁
Any way, I like what you are doing,
My sons are 43 and 44 years old and both often talk about the good memories and your son Van will also have them.

I’m a grandpa and want to buy my 3 grandsons a tenkara rod this year. Is there a rod you recommend? After their Bdays this summer they will be 6, 8 & 9. What weight line do you use? We will fish a river a little but mainly a farm pond. Thanks for your video.

What a great idea. I had the hardest time with my kids. Untangling, unhooking, pulling the fish off. That Van kid is a natural!
