James Rollins is a master at writing multiple character lines with unique points-of-view. I especially love the endings of his books where the action accelerates and he jumps between characters quickly, but also keeps it easy for readers to follow.

I mean, you could have multiple characters tell "identical" stories as a way to explore unreliable narrators and self-consistency bias and that kind of thing. Or just do it to show the difference between what a conflict is like for a well-known leader and an everyman. How do their perspectives differ? How do they conflict?

I think that Brandon Sandersons writing especially storm light archives is a great example of how to do multi point of view stories well.

The House of Night series by PC Cast and Kristen Cast does this very well when it starts in either the third or fourth book. I actually started to sympathize with Kalona and Rephaim after a while because I got to know them as people rather than monsters...

I'm currently reading KJ Parker's Engineer trilogy, and it does a really good job at this.

What really interests me is a multi POV short story. I don't know if I'm using the right term here (I'm not used to referring to them in English) but what I mean is basically an anecdote, around two to maybe five thousand words, where multiple points of view are used to tell one common story. I find these really interesting!

House of leaves is kinda like this in a weird way. Its just that everyones experiences are in a chapter.

I can't remember the exact name but it was something like unspeakable I dunno but it was a multi POV where every chapter was a different character and it was set in this school with a "trouble class" sorta so just a bunch of kids that are so crazy they can't be in a normal classroom setting and got stuffed in this one and the first chapter is a girl who wasn't even meant for that class but grew to love it over time and missed it when she finally left and we even get the teacher's POV where they basically hate their job and just want an early retirement because they will be qualified for one at the end of the school year and it's basically just all those kids trying to prove they belong in the science fair as well as anybody else and they also did something else crazy but I can't remember what it was also sorry this thing is longer than the harry Potter series byeeee 😅
