Eve Kosofsky Sedgwick : The Urban Bachelor in Victorian Fiction and Homosexuality

Though the word bachelor implies unmarried men, however in Indian English it is often used as a gender neutral term. So, to avoid any possible confusion, I have at times specifically used the term "male bachelor" to drive home the point that the formation of Sedgwick here deals with male homosexualities and homosocialities. In formal writings, "male" need not be used before "bachelor"
