As a Marine veteran and current Soldier continuing to suffer from ptsd, its music like this that sometimes is just enough to get me through my day. I truly believe you must spend time in a dark head space to understand those that continue to be there. Thankyou greatly for creating music. Reading the comments and seeing people like myself and from all walks of life struggling as well gives my heart joy and hope for them and myself.

Anyone else alive solely because bands exist? I feel like they understand me more than loved ones even understand, depression has a way of taking hold. I've tried medicine. It makes it worse. People don't want to talk, because in too negative. I'm too intense. I exercise, it helps a lot but only temporarily. One thing constant in my life that has always picked me up.. People who understand. Bands have saved my life on more than one occasion. To bands like shinedown, I love you guys love your music.

Shinedown is something we all need. Its not just misic, its a lifestyle. And their music just voices the lifestyle. This band influenced so many of my life choices, and im glad. Now I’m happy with my family and friends, and I wouldn’t change anything about it.

I struggle with addiction to opiates and anxiety/ depression and my dad played this song for me in the car yesterday and it made me cry, I have never cried from a song before. It was like my dad was talking to me thru the song and every word they said in this song gave me chills, I really needed to hear this….

I just saw Shinedown in concert and met them. You could not imagine how amazing they are. I still could not believe Zach Myers handed me his sweatband that said "ZM83" (Zach Myers 1983) and his guitar pic with his signature. (he threw two guitar pics at me and one flew the other way and the other went over my head.) I have a picture with each of these great people. They are a BRILLIANT band and also wonderful people if you ever get to talk to them and meet them. Couldn't have a greater First Concert 💛🖤

BRENT!!! Not sure if you remember this…years ago, SHINEDOWN, was an opener for Tantric in a cramped bar in Colorado Springs called The 32 Blue!!! You had really long hair then lol. The other opening band didn’t show, so you guys played an extra set, the last song you did…. You and your guitarist came out, told the audience to light up our phones or lighters and the wanted us to sing simple man along with you! Brother I was was hooked from that day forward. I hope you and your guys truly understand how much your music really means to some of us!!! Fan FOREVER!!!!
