Massey Ferguson was very popular in Canada. We used Massey Ferguson on our farm. I still remember the controversy here in Canada when AGCO bought Massey Ferguson. It was big news here. Since then, pretty much every farmer switched to CASE. Today, John Deere is the leader in sales.

I really like this video. I buy almost all Agco equipment and have never regretted it. I grew up on Massey Ferguson tractors, still running them today. The Massey /Hesston large square baler is the best there is...

i love this video. im from Kansas and the Hesston AGCO plant is something we're proud of. My grandfather always had an affinity for Allis-Chalmers tractors and almost bought a brand new one as his first tractor in the 50s but was swayed by his dad to buy a used John Deere because it was a green farm (and still is under my cousin.) This history is so very neat.

Great video, Agco has a lot of good products and dealers, with the Gleaner combine being it's best product.

Awesome video on AGCO!
I left farming in 1990 so this was mostly new news to me.

Now I understand why some brands haven’t merged because sales recognition. For AGCO to grow it need to build better dealerships that can train farmers in handling n understanding of their products. Some AGCO products have high cost to their spare parts compared to CNH. I do see GSI playing bigger part maybe other farm related products been brought by AGCO for total farm solution. Great vid BTP👍👍

thank you so much for posting this video. the history portion answered many questions. agco’s multibrand approach is extremely interesting to me. i work in an industry where an acquired firm’s brand name rarely survives (e.g. Sikorsky helicopter name survived.).

Our youth should really learn where our food supply comes from. Before I retired in 2010 some kids would pass me on my 46 Farmall B and didn't know what a tractor was.

The agricultural manufacturing industry is a fascinating area of investment…with acquisition of Trimble recently the AGCO group is a rewarding stock investment…precision farming has great potential for investment.

Great video. Harry Ferguson was from Northern Ireland like me and we have one of his first tractors ever built in our family. A 1938 Ferguson Brown.

I like the cameo by the Claas Combine.
I wish you showed off more Valtra tractors. They are the best looking tractor on the planet.

Crazy, I am 50, and I remember Gleaner, Case, JD, Oliver, Case and IH all by themselves. And our neighbor was the “Weird farmer” with White products.
