Peaceful Leme is known for Pedra do Leme, a forested rocky outcropping crowned by the colonial Duque de Caxias fort, with a history museum and sweeping coastal views. From here, a path winds down to Leme Beach, a wide stretch of sand popular with surfers, fishermen and local families. Back from the seafront, residential streets are lined with traditional bakeries, relaxed bars and old-school Italian restaurants.

I live in San Francisco and come to Rio quite often. I always rent an apartment on this street. I like the neighborhood. I am glad to see many people wearing masks in October of 2021..Brazilians were prohibited from traveling just about to any country in the world at this time since the Pandemic was not under control. I will be here in October of 2022 and am glad things have improved!

I recently stayed in that area. feels safe local and beautiful. lots of cafes restaurants, extremely great food and incredily cheap! they have a nice beach also. ill love to go back, feels like a good option after Ipa or Copa
