Livestock hauler's '71 Pete 359 EXHD classic, with strong personal history for S&J Kilgore

Satha Kilgore, owner of S&J Kilgore Trucking based in Macomb, Missouri, showed this impressive 1971 Peterbilt 359 EXHD at the 2023 Guilty By Association Truck Show in Joplin, Missouri. Kilgore bought the truck about a year before GBATS and has been slowly fixing it up into a working truck.

Kilgore had known the previous owner and did a lot of work on the truck through the years until he had the opportunity to buy it. At the time of the show in September 2023, he was still working on fixing up the interior of the sleeper. The cab interior, however, features an impressive wood dash and floor.

3406 Caterpillar was not produced yet in ‘71. Correct Caterpillar engine for ‘71 would be the 1693 Caterpillar.
