The Who are an English rock band formed in 1964. Their classic line-up consisted of lead singer Roger Daltrey, guitarist and singer Pete Townshend, bass guitarist John Entwistle, and drummer Keith Moon. They are considered one of the most influential rock bands of the 20th century, selling over 100 million records worldwide and holding a reputation for their live shows and studio work.

I remember seeing this video late at night on MTV. The show was called Closet Classics and it changed my life at 10 years old.

Pete Townshend is a genius. He also wrote a song about my idol, Marty Robbins. Keith's drumming is as close to orchestral drumming that any rock drummer played. I sure miss the guy, just like I miss Christopher Hichens. RIP to both along with John.

Me and 3 friends, before our sophomore year of college, took a road trip from San Francisco up to Vancouver, BC to see their 25th Anniversary Tour show, since their show in the Bay Area was after we all had to be back at school. WELL WELL worth it. So glad I got to see them with John still around, if not with Keith. This was, is, and always *will* be my favorite song from the band. Hats off.
