I saw David on this tour. It was my first time seeing him live and he was even better than I'd hoped. His guitar playing and tone were just monstrous. Unbelievable. This particular instrumental off his first album is a favorite of mine. Unfortunately, Raphael Ravenscroft's sax solo (and Greg Deckert's keyboard solo) take a bit away from it for me. Neither quite fit right in my opinion. But Gilmour is incredible as always. I remember he played a strange Martin prototype. It was a headless, short scale electric with a sort of "batwing" body (google Martin Shithammer). Odd looking thing, but Gilmour made it sing. Near the end it's just him under a lone spotlight squeezing magic out of that peculiar guitar. Fantastic. Thanks for posting this.
