Awesome to see that our pacific people are finally realizing that even though the money will help their families in the long run, that our pride and self worth in our identities and representation of our cultures run deeper than money ever could. I still dont think that alot of people realize just how big it was when Jason and Andrew and the other boys turned away from the Tier1 nations money to play for their country of origin. This can be the beginning of a movement for all our pacific players. Just imagine if money was never the issue, our pacific players would be smashing tier 1 teams easily around the world. I totally agree that the athletes should be treated better and it just saddens me that industries benefit more than the people who risk putting in more of the work! But Mate Ma'a Tonga has done an amazingly humble job of showing a good example of humility, not thinking about the money, and making the heart of Tongans all over the world fill with even more pride of being one.
