This seems like the way all the tutorials do it, but then doesn't the image then need to be re-created every time you change code vs just using the base image and copying and installing the code in the docker-compose allowing you to just restart the image? Just thinking of a dev environment, I don't want to have to rebuild the image every time I make a code change. I'm a node noob, and only marginally good with docker ( I use portainer to manage my containers)

why first copy only package.json and then copy everything ? Can't we just copy everything from the first time? (taking into account that we have node_modules to ignore)
