I believe this is the first footage of Rick's legendary white tele. He bought it around 10 days before this show, in Glasgow.
It still had the original bridge here btw. RIP Rick!

The Status Quo I loved - not that lightweight shadow of their former selves that they became!

The first band I loved when I was a little kid - and early Quo are smoking and hot! I somewhat lost interest after the "If you can't stand the heat' album - but the earlier ones are still on my top play list ♥

Saw them a bunch of times in the early/mid 70s. Their gigs weren’t just concerts, they were ‘happenings’, indescribable events that unified all in attendance. From Ma Kelly’s Greasy Spoon thru Rockin’ all over the World they were IT!! After that it all went to shite - thanks Francis for ruining the greatest rock & boogie band in the World. Hope ur happy with how it turned out

I remember how in the 80s a fellow fan of heavy rock called Quo "the spinning bow tie of rock" due to their decent into lame pop music and laugh-along videos. To be fair, he had a point given the way in which the superb, raw, passionate band in this brilliant video seemed to turn their backs on the many thousands who made them famous during the 70s. More energy on show in this 5 minute clip than in the whole of the 80s.

These were the times they were heavy.... every amp was on. Nuff looks the real heavy rocker. Guess they were pormoting their quo album. Boogie rock at his very best.... natural live rock at his best.

This was the real deal back then. Inventors of Headbanging. A shame they turned into a total joke.

My favorite Quo song !!! I just wonder why they never played the little guitar intro from the Piledriver album in concerts?
