For the Aokiji vs Akainu stuff:

They fought each other for the title of fleet admiral. Sengoku wanted Aokiji to be his successor, Akainu wanted to be the next fleet admiral to impose his indiscriminate justice on pirates. Aokiji hated the idea of Akainu becoming fleet admiral, so they fought each other for the title of fleet admiral, where Aokiji lost, refused to work under Akainu, then left the marines.

Aokiji didn’t fight a superior, he fought Akainu for the chance to become the superior.

Aokiji actually battled Sakazuki for the position of Fleet Admiral after Sengoku retired but lost. That's why he left, Sakazuki was not his superior yet at that point.

Fun fact: that fight turned Punk Hazard from a normal island into the climate we see in the story

Aokiji hasn't been seen using his bike in a long time- he likes to ride around on a giant penguin named Camel.
