For the current version as of March 2016.
How to renew LetsEncrypt Free SSL HTTPS certificates on Windows Server 2008 R2 or Server 2012 R2 and IIS using ACMESharp.

Note that after a few months months your Challenge will expire and you will have to re-create a new _Identifier032017 (or similar) with a new name and follow through the challenge validation instructions again and issue a certificate for the new _Identifier032017. It seems you can't "re-validate" an existing but expired identifier.

IMPORTANT. Renewing after your site validation has expired.
Note that after 10 months your Challenge will expire and you will have to re-create a new _Identifier2017 (or similar) with a new name and follow through the challenge validation instructions again and issue a certificate for the new _Identifier2017. The following script might really help too.. someone has written a very in-depth renewal automation script!

thanks very much. looks like letsencrypt-win is a better solution, since it lets me renew on a schedule, rather than playing with broken powershell modules. Any timeline on ACME having a renew function?
