What a dishonest title. "Throw the election to Kamala" by keeping the rules as they've already been

Idk if "Did Nebraska Just THROW ELECTION To Kamala?" is the best framing for this story.

No. Nebraska and Maine are doing it the right way.

Every state should do it like Nebraska.

My state, Maine, also does this splitting of the electoral college thing.
The "winner-take-all" system is crazy, if the populace in a state is split 51%-49%, each group should be credited their choice, in a way prescribing to the popular vote.
Other states should also start following this method.

In a 269-269 tie, the presidential election goes to the House and the VP election goes to Senate. So you can end up with a divided ticket where Trump can be Pres and Walz can be VP lol. That'll be too funny.

Fair is fair, it’s too late to change the rules. Courageous for him to stop it against his party

Saagar you should visit Lincoln on a Nebraska game day before you call us the definition of a flyover state and that the EC is the only thing we got going for us. People here are kind, care about their neighbors, and live and die with their football team. That comment rubbed me the wrong way, man. Be nice! The corn is good too :)

I would say every state should do like Nebraska. Imagine new york and California not being a lock.

Ticket splitting is not rare in NC happens pretty much every election year…. Trump won in 2016 and 2020 in which the Dem Roy Cooper won the governorship.

All the states should follow Nebraska in allocating by district. If they all did then no President would ever have lost the popular vote.

I do not trust the woman who is talking. And I do not think I’m alone. She is so biased it’s unbelievable. We need real journalists in America

The electoral college is not the issue. States allocating by winner take all is the issue. That is what alienates voters.

I’m old enough to remember when Republicans were extremely outraged by changes to voting during an election year

I wish the rest of the country was done the same way Nebraska does it. More people around the country would be represented and it would be more "equitable."

Split ticket voting in NC is the rule, not the exception. NC voters have for decades consistently voted Republican in federal elections, but have voted Democrat for the Governorship.

As a nebraska and omaha resident, I would be appaled if our district went to a politician that has never visited us.

As a Nebraskan, I am glad they let that district's vote count. Pillen and Stothert tried to shove this through and I am glad it failed.
