I did a video of Soundgarden riffs a couple of years ago, but I wanted to have another go at it as I've had some different guitars since then. Also these riffs will never not be fun and cool to play.

0:52 Spoonman
1:21 Mailman
1:42 Black Hole Sun
1:59 Loud Love

Kim Thayil is a beast and super underrated. Really Sabbath sounding licks - and of course, RIP Chris Cornell

4th Of July is also really good. Probably one of the heaviest riffs I've ever listened too.

11 riffs written/co-written by Chris, 2 by Matt, 2 by Ben and 5 by Kim. It’s time that people start paying respect to Chris as a riff writing machine that he was. People unknowingly credit Kim with most of the riffs and songwriting but whole band, especially Chris deserves all the Flowers.

Soundgarden have a special place in my heart, this mix of heavy Black Sabbath-ness and weird riffs/solos. Cool that you included Been Away, I never heard anybody praise their final record but I still think it has some good tracks and still captures the unique Soundgarden weirdness.

Not a big Soundgarden fan personally; but I’d be stupid to not say these riffs are badass.

I was really hoping for arguably their heaviest one ever Fourth of July, but these were great! 💯

Love that you had King Animal in there that's under appreciated

All amazing, I would add Somewhere, Holy Water, Black Rain, Limo Wreck and Zero Chance (this last one has one of the best sounding intros I've ever heard).

P.s: It is said that Bloxsy is still retuning his guitars after finishing this video.

Oh, Spoonman!
I often think I know a band, and then only recognize one or two of the songs.

Amazing! I missed Gun, though. That riff was really cool.

Beautiful. You can really hear the Sabbath influence when the lick is solo.

Tenes que hacer una segunda parte: Black Rain, 4th of july, Gun, Slaves and buldozers, Cold bitch, Kristi, Limo wreck, New damage, Beyond the wheel, Holy water, never the machine forever, blood on the valley floor, bones of birds, blind dogs, y unas cuantas canciones más. Soundgarden tiene muy buenos riffs. Saludos desde Argentina!!!
