Just discovered this feature on my X-T10 today. I am a RAW shooter and expose for RAW, meaning I "shoot to the right" which results in over exposed JPEG. I do like the jpg images out of camera but shoot RAW because I can get better results with other RAW processors. I like the push/pull feature because I can shoot raw and if I need to I can pull the image a stop to make it look fine. I do with I could just have the camera auto pull one stop for me.

Hey, Henry! I discovered your channel when I was deciding between getting a BMPCC or Fujifilm, and I went with Fujifilm because I still have to take photos from time to time.

I absolutely love it but I'm still considering a Bmpcc as a main video camera for the future. Do you have projects when you use both Fuji and Bmpcc cameras? Is matching the cameras too much of a hassle?

Love the fact that you're doing Fujifilm content as well now. Looking forward for more!

I tried using this feature when I first got my X-E2s some years ago. Can't say I found it particularly useful. Pretty clunky when compared to simply sending the image to a smartphone and using Lightroom Mobile or Snapseed.

Interesting, as I played with it a little bit but not like a deep dive you’ve done. Didn’t even know about the Q button.
But I use capture one and then take it to my iPhone and see if I can do anything more, then I take it to another phone app and play with it a bit more. I don’t think there’s just one way to get the picture you want.
Or perhaps I’m just not that good at capture one yet?

I kinda find it crazy that I even bother doing any of this in camera. The menus aren't good but something about using the camera itself is so enjoyable that I find myself trying to do everything in camera rather than shoot with camera and edit on phone/laptop.

I upgraded my Fujifilm camera and wanted to use this feature on my new camera. I used my SD card which contained images taken by my previous camera. When you press the playback, there is a ‘gift’ icon displayed on the LCD screen. I checked the manual and it turns that this icon is displayed when you take the photo using another camera even if it is a Fujifilm. The catch is that you will not be able to use the in-camera processing in this case. If you know a work around, then please let me know.

And here I was hoping you said X-T2... So, being a raw file, it should be looking very flat. Normally on my bodies, looking at a, say, raw only pic, they don't look flat. Let's say I select raw only. When I look at my raw file, it appears as if it was a jpg processed by the camera. A kind of "preview". It doesn't look.like a raw file. But I've selected raw only when shooting. So, on the X-E2, does a raw file only look raw before you add in camera processing? Doesn't look like it. Your raw file (even if you shot only raw, still looks like whatever setting you have for jpeg as a starting place for adjusting raw. So, this gets a little confusing.

Yes, but … 1) other cameras can do this, too; and 2) I want to see photos on a big screen to decide which of the hundreds I took that day are worth further consideration. In-camera development can be done, but the need never arises—for me, at least.
