My brother would listen to Nujabes years ago late at night, just chilling at his desk with his sunglasses on. I remember this song specifically. He passed away this year at 35. This song makes me think of him. I had this song played at his funeral. Now I have such a hard time listening to it but I love it like I love him. Rest in paradise Cody Jo 🕊️

The older I get the more I love Nujabes. I remember when us fans got news of his passing. He was just starting to blow up as an artist on the internet it felt like we had a private club on YouTube waiting for that new Nujabes drop. We lost an acoustic genius. I first listened to this song in 2007, when it was used on YouTube as the background music to a video where some guy explored cell phone stores in Japan. Since then, I've had this song on my rotation and it's one of the few absolute continuities in my life. I was of course devastated when it happened but I still consider myself lucky to have been at the Nujabes Memorial Event in 2015 (Shibuya Liquidroom), where this song was performed live by Cise Starr. Seriously one of the greatest moments of my life.
