This Was The NEW F1 2023 Russian Race Track

Starting in 2023, Formula One will be ditching the Sochi Autodrom in favour of a new host for the Russian Grand Prix, holding the race at the new Igora Drive circuit. The proposed F1 layout of the circuit is 5.183 km (3.220 mi) long and will consist of 19 turns and 2 DRS zones. This circuit was designed by Hermann Tilke and opened in 2019.

It's like a mix of Turkey, Imola, and Korea. The whole track apart from the last sector is very flowing. I think this will be a very good track to race on with the new regs!

At the long sweeping right and left around 20ish seconds into the lap, that could provide some good moments like when Max and Lewis were side by side on the final lap around turn 5 in Abu Dhabi. And some brave soul's gonna try and go up the inside of another driver at some point at the first corner of the last sector, i just know it

That last portion of the track which was introduced newly is insane

That last sector actually looks really fun to drive, and if it's that bumpy, it'll definitely be fun to watch on TV. But everything else feels almost like a motorcycle track to me, it doesn't look like there are actually going to be many passing opportunities for these cars. Hope I'm wrong though, hopefully this ends up being a great track.

A decent & nicely flowing track. More enjoyable than Sochi Autodrom, not that the latter is unenjoyable driving-wise except for S3.
Edit: Unfortunately (or not), this decently flowing track's debut won't happen, after all.

You can't fool me. That's just Ricard in reverse, with a shorter Mistral and without the seizure inducing brightly colored sandpaper on the edge of the track.

Better than Sochi, though. Actually it's better than Ricard too, from the looks of it.

Must admit, first track I've seen in a while that feels like old school F1 but has some of those clever corner sequences that are very modern. A really good little balance, and hopefully the number of mid tempo corners will be ok with better overtaking in 2022 (WE ALL HOPE lol). Honestly though, it looks good, and hearing it will replace Sochi is a double win

the mod is seriosuly rough (bumpy, oversized), but even that doesn't distract from the fact that Tilke screwed up the final sector

Unless the track is laser scanned take it with a grain of salt, tho it looks very nice.
