Nothing like the sound of a Hammond in 70's rock.

I'm 68. I've played guitar for 52 years and have heard this song...thousands of times? But, this is the first time I've actually seen Sugarloaf on film/video! Seeing them rather than just hearing them is a huge revelation. What a red hot group of players they were! Thanks for this;)

When I was a kid, I would pretend to be asleep so I could stay up long enough to sneak into the TV room and catch these performances on that show. My mom was cool because sometimes she would catch me and instead of sending me back to bed, she would watch it with me and sometimes dance to the music. She passed away 25 years ago and now I’m 62. So glad these are performances are assessable to us. Brings back memories of happier times. Miss you mom, love to you from me.

I was in a really decent cover band playing club gigs for many years. As a drummer, this was always one of my favorite songs to cover. Mostly for the reaction it would get from patrons in the clubs. No one else that I was aware of was doing this in 2010s. We always did this in our first set. You could be having a lame night with a so-so crowd & as SOON as the keys & bass would open this up ...heads would immediately turn (even before the first cymbal splash) & a moment later the dance floor was filling. So much fun. Great band, great song. "Ride Captain Ride" by Blues Image was another incredibly memorable song like this. People would just freak when we did that, too. I'm sorry, but I'm not sorry ....music was just simply better "back then". It just ...was. Played by humans, no auto-tune, no click-tracks...just raw talent & great vibes!

One of the truly great pop songs of the early 1970s—and a band that deserved greater success than it ended up having.

All the musicians in this band are amazing. That bass line is outstanding.

That B3, that groove, those lyrics. Mysterious and satisfying rock'n'roll.

My mom was a go-go dancer and clearly my father loved it. She sang this song and danced to it all throughout my life. She was gorgeous w green eyes.

At a time when audiences were open to all kinds of music, Sugarloaf landed this mic-drop hit. "Green Eyed Lady" had all kinds of influences...funk, jazz, rock, layered over a cooler than hell groove tighter than a clam's keister. In this live (*yep, bands actually played and sang in those days) version from The Midnight Special TV show, Corbetta and the band are absolutely on fire. They make it look easy, and that's the point. Corbetta's Hammond solo here is taken to another level, even beyond the recorded version. Astonishing!

Let me say l love this song, Sugarloaf is laying it down!!!! they are not joking around, I’m telling you the drummer is laying the timing down for the rest of the band to follow, this is 1 of my favorite songs by Sugarloaf, the musicianship is SUPERB!!!! I like it too, when they go into that jazz thing, absolutely brilliant arrangement etc This is music, and musicians knew how to play their respective instruments and singers could sing- Great ERA for music, the junk that’s put out today cannot compete
