I have been dying fabric for over 50 years. 100% polyester doesn't dye really ever. You can dye wool, rayon, silk, cotton, but if there is even a little polyester in it the polyester threads will not dye. You didn't do anything wrong, the company that sent polyester instead of silk did. Keep trying this way of dying, it does turn out pretty. Just no polyester. I love your videos. You have made some really awesome items for the home

Wow! I have never heard of the type of dying. My favorite is the wall hanging! The wood stain with the colors from the dye go so well together. Another awesome video MaCenna!

I love this style dress (90's flashbacks in a good way), and understand why you would want silk, but I bet like a sheer gauzy cotton would be gorgeous for a swim coverup. I am always a HUGE fan of tie dye, and love how this is more modern but still colorful than the normal type. As always....WELL DONE!
