As a response to Pepsi taking over the soft drink market, Coke decided to invent a new version of their classic soda, called “New Coke”, in hopes of reviving their business and market share among young consumers. However, New Coke ended up being one of the worst marketing flops in its entire company’s history…

If New Coke had just been released as a new product alongside the classic formula it probably wouldn’t have failed as spectacularly as it did Coca-Cola’s plan was to permanently replace the classic formula with the new one and that’s why New Coke failed

So New Coke wasn't worthless and it wasn't stupid it was a brilliant idea designed to make their product worthless then bring back their regular product just to increase the sales of the regular product and over time has totally made up for the loss and sales from New Coke

New Coke was a bad product. Wasn't just emotional attachment or nostalgia Coco-Cola relied too heavily on sip taste test that's not the same experience of someone who regularly drinks Coke or Pepsi or any brown soda. True there were many die hard Coke drinkers that were furious when they brought out New Coke, but there were still plenty of people who were willing to give it a chance and they would quickly come to the conclusion New Coke sucked too and stopped buying it. If they were to have brought out along side Coco-Cola would it have survived? I don't know it tasted like a flat Coke with a little extra sugar. Nowhere near as good as Coke, Pepsi or even Royal Crown Cola, but maybe it could be compared to a bad store brand knock off. At best I think it could've only survived as like a niche drink.

If anybody ever sees Coca-Cola lemon grab it it's the best Coke ever and years ago they discontinued it 2007 it was dark cherry vanilla Coke taste nothing like the Cherry Vanilla Coke they have now it was amazing Pepsi has a Artisan Cherry Pepsi that tastes similar but not the same but the Cherry flavors the same that was in the dark cherry vanilla
